Merry Christmas

Accidental Poet

Merry Christmas

Here we are again

In the depths of December

When I’m often reminded of

Christmas pasts I remember

And new memories made

Throughout this 2017 season

Family love shared because

“We’re family” the reason

The smiles we share

The laughter in our hearts

That Christmas feeling

When the singing starts

For the birth of Jesus Christ

And celebration of God’s love

Lives within our hearts

Not just above

Let the bells of Christmas

Ring the world over

May they instill peace and

Harmony instead of war

As Jesus died on the cross

For our sins to be forgiven

World peace and love at Christmas

The best gift we can give him

Let it start right here

And spread amongst us

A cyber hug and handshake

Sincerely, Merry Christmas

A thoughtful write AP. Seasons Greetings too! Not like the ridiculous telly adverts, one of which said 'That's what Christmas is all about - getting a new bigger telly!' Doh!
'Tis the season for some people to be daft - even dafter, I reckon!
