Alone just one more time

angelablankenship

As I sit here thinking of this lonely Christmas day

I realize this is the last without

the laughter of my children

footsteps to wake me up

smell of fresh coffee ready for me to drink up

I can't wait to here the words

Mommy wake up Santa came this year

Can we open present?

Do we have to eat breakfast?

The smile on their faces when I say

Just one then breakfast!

This is my last Christmas alone

Next year when I come home

I will here the sounds that make me so proud

the voices that make me smile
