Just a thought on the heart

AJ

People are always so torn between their head and their heart. But Charlie Chaplin once said that we think too much and feel too little. From before you were even born, your heart has been beating, everyday without stopping for even a second. It doesn't go to sleep, or wake up, it doesn't get scared it never runs away and even under pressure it keeps going. If you are ever wondering what to trust in this world, let it always be your heart.

What a beautiful message. I hadn't thought about it that way, since the heart can also lead us into danger sometimes. It doesn't reason like our mind and sometimes follows whims that don't pan out. But it is true, it never stops as long as we live. Our "heart" and spirit keep us forging ahead, loving, fighting for life, truth and our beliefs. Our "heart" stays loyal and true and even gives us intuitive hints at times. So we must not underestimate that power of ours to love and passionately push ahead.

Thank you for your comment! That's exactly it, I think people don't give enough credit to the power of that kind of emotion. I'm glad you saw that- this is really not a poem at all I'm not even sure why I posted it but I really appreciate hearing what you thought!
