Ourselves.

kevin browne

We follow and aspire from others and we look back on ourselves
to see the blames come forward and to feel the worth of a life
which becomes a world, your world, a new world, a deep breath
Opportunity evades us, opportunity discovers us, a dream.
The illusions, the beliefs, the benefits, the cravings, the desires.
Poverty strikes down, poverty breaks down, you wonder why?
And others are dancing, others are laughing at you, your shy.
Take it in, let it out, running away, the darkness, the loneliness
The help, you, me, the learning, the hurt, the kills the deaths.
We struggle, we fight, we war, we win, we lose, we forsook
we pain, we listen, madness is deafening and ideas are empty.
The sorrow, the tomorrow, the worries, the hunger, the hope.
Our passions our sacrifice, our determinations and lessons.
We give we take, we threat we hate we want we need were hell
we fought, we lost, we won, we killed, we took, we fell away.
A disadvantage, a dishonour, a shame, a way of life, a disaster.
We hold we listen, we have, we will, we won't, we want we don't,
we steal, we break, we corrupt, we abolish, we prison we shatter.
Our space, our words, our ignorance, our disgust our despise
our riches, our hearts, our homes, our families our destinies.
The crooked, the weak, the meek, the dangers, the collapses.
Are given, are costly, are ruthless, are dictatorships, our failures.
Our mothers' fathers, brothers, sisters, our children our tears.
Ageing, older, grey, limbless, hopeless, lifeless, duress stress.
The flowers grow the flowers pass by, the blossoming finishes.
To start again, to attempt, to gain, to strive, to glory to show how.
Helping yourself, think yourself, teach yourself, bow yourself
Award yourself, reflect yourself, deepen yourself, grow yourself.
Discharge others from life, from dreams, from heaven, from you.
Regain retake, remorse, review, reword, rewrite, rethink redo.
It's touching its calming, its sense, it's fact, it's another it's real.
The trophy the medals, the gold, the silver, the bronze the broken
the strength the indication, the guilt, the fever, the cold the dark.
Water, food, hunger, famine, charity, collections, money takers
Stripped naked, painted pictures, delusions, wrongs, no rights.
A book a page, a read, an understanding of where and then.
We shelter, we protect, we help, we forgave, we loved we waved.
There are dreams, there are Gods, there are lives there are us.
There is torture there is rawness, there is no there is no out
You're through you're done, you're cracking, you're spitting
You're horrible, you're worthless, you're deadly, you're incorrect.
Philosophy shapes wisdom breaks, you break, I break life breaks.
It's consuming, it's filling, it's a lot, it's dealt, it's hurting it's felt.
The memories, the mirage, the shine, the moments the promises.
Lovers, a friend, a marriage, a divorce, a house, a car an explosion.
A job a love, a passion, art, science, religion, a worship a prophet.
Is you, is me, is life, is losing, is showing, is teaching, is good.
Life brings about the many targeted colourful happenings which happen to us all. There are many moments we fall to our knees. And there are uplifting moments when we can say thank you and Please with the effects ever knocking on your neighbours' door keeps repeating its noise. There are histories we study and there are philosophers we discover with our universities opening up their doors to brand new educated intellectual bright young people resurrecting and reshaping our world. Hand in hand, we Join, we rejoice in life, we thrive, we prosper, we think, we aid, we encourage, we believe, we become, we win, we move on, we Deliver. Be one of these and make this world a better place.

Don't know how you did it, but somehow you seem to be able to put every conceivable trait of mankind into one poem.
      Hard reading, but it works.
