The Dark Reminder

sarahyshoop

She sat in her bed

The wet pillow holding her head

Thoughts all around

Emotions climbing up and down

What will she do

To fix this mess that's been made

There's nothing neither to do nor say

To change the way

The way that's been paved

By the choices she had made

She cries out in pain

Tears streaming down like the rain

There's no one to hold

No one listen

No one to know

The pain that's been made

Deep in her brain

The choices she had made

Have been reminding her today

Of the mistakes that have happened

Even from her first day

She sinks deep into her bed

Feeling ashamed of all the things that have been said

She feels more alone

With her soul as cold as the snow

Why did this happen

Why did I let myself go

I held myself down so low

She wants it to be done

She wants to go away and run

To hide all the ugly

I don't see how anyone could love me
