One last breathe to fill my lungs

Drowninginkalopsia

Holding onto his life so dearly
he remained alive, but barely
breathing as he's heaving for
a chance to survive, unable to
prevail the inevitable he
was no longer breathing
nor was his heart beating to
the rhythms of life.
