The Fall

Roland Landa

They told me to never fall in love,

and to never give someone your all.

Because the worst pain is not being able to catch yourself when you fall.

Maybe I should have listened.

Maybe I should have kept my balance.

But now it’s too late,

and I don’t know if I can be saved.

This drop is just too tall.

So as I drift closer into the abyss,

I make my choice.

Tuck my arms in,

and pray I land planted in your bliss.
