Late Nights

RebeccaRose.x

Late nights
No tv, DVD or games
Just you and me talking
As we dream the night away

Heartbeats
Two singular, strong and the same
Like a rhythmic dance
And happiness is to blame

Laughter
Burstfully loud but trying to be quiet
For waking up the parents
Would cause somewhat of a riot

You...me
Just as we are
No need to act any different
No need to hide our scars

  • Comment from author about the poem: Written in a few minutes and not one of great quality. But it is about both friendship and romance. How the times when you are truly alone together with no distractions can be the times filled with most laughter and joy.
