€£$ Does Not Define Us

RebeccaRose.x

My mind often drifts
To those who are in need
The wealthy and the poor
And the people inbetween

Money shouldn't define us
It shouldn't make us who we are
For all of us have struggles
Whether they are here or far

On the flip side, All of us have joys
That gets us through the day
And these joys, we hold on to
For as long as they will stay

We are all the same species
We each have skin and a heart
So why do these symbols  (€£$)
Tear us all apart

I see the world we have created
This system we have made
But I feel as though it's gone too far
And soon we'll have to pay.
