I Follow My Tears.

kevin browne

I follow my tears and they lead me to her
She whispers my name in the dark
Where are you, my love? please don't run
We can meet up again in the park
She shadows my days without her here
My dear, my sweet I'll shed lonely tears
Hope was gained but a love was lost
Will I ever see her again?
I broke the rules, I couldn't fool
A love between us
She took my heart, I fell apart
My love for her was too much
A lesson untreated a lesson misled
Into the world of lust and cruelty
I was her's she was mine
It killed my mind with brutality
I'll try to forget all my regrets
Bounded in a lovers note
Where once we fell in love
Although it was never enough.

Well penned, Kevin! A beautiful declaration of love and love lost, sad, but then life is not all roses. 'I was hers, she was mine' says it all!
