Ruby-Crowned Kinglet

Ruby-Crowned Kinglet

Little king I see your crown

A ruby spot next to the brown

There as you fly from limb to limb

In the sun as day begins

There by a tranquil lake

a swan swims with style and grace

Trumpeting out to those around

That the little king is making rounds

And the procession goes down a trail

Where they honor you as well

And call out as you pass along

With adoration for your song

And on a special spring time day

You flit around as the citizens wave

They happy to get a glimpse of you

That makes them feel important too

To your destination you arrive

Where other royalty resides

The little princes in their nest

With their little ruby crests
