A Bad Memory

gailtannor01

The moon is out, the flowers have died.
The scent of you on the pillow on the side of me. As if you were there in the flesh.
I had a dream about you. About us. It felt so real. The dark brown eyes I fell in love with had a different emotion in them. Sadness, disappointment? Concern swept my eyes.
You handed me a stack of papers and said those three words. The ones that changed everything, the ones that brought me tears and sleepless nights. "Final divorce papers" you kept talking after that but I couldn't hear it was like I was under water drowning, suffering, I never tried to swim up I stayed put. I woke up with a sharp in take of breath. Realizing it wasn't a dream or even a nightmare but a very bad never forgotten memory.

Lovely. You did a wonderful job. Speaking about emotions is one of the most hardest things to do in human flesh but you nailed it.

Thank you so much! That really helps with me being a young writer I would also like to ask if there is anything I can do better ?
