Ripples

Velvetlascivious

A finger dipped

breaking wet glass

parting

stillness

painting perfect circles

that stretch like arms

reaching to touch

repeating

reverberating

an elegant dance

falling into a waiting

wanting embrace

slipping sweetly

into edges

colliding like lovers

running to meet his arms

burying her face in his strong earth

he holds her

his sparkling treasure

makes a space for her

tucks her into him

she settles back

into a peaceful sleep

in one another

they are

home
