Getting stuck in a Storm

Ariel Perez

Getting stuck in a Storm

Time here is frozen

Everything I once thought I knew was just a dream

This rain I feel sinking in my emotions is haunting

Tears running down my face like the rain on a window trying to escape

I want to run away from these thoughts but how can I leave now when im stuck

Im stuck in a pit of misery so how do I get out?

How do I release myself from these clouds of thunder?

Stuck

I am stuck under the weather

It feels like I have been struck by lightning

I feel like a memory that one day you will forget

My body as a bone shelter for the lost without a beating heart

How do I restart

How do I tell myself that this isn't over

That there is always a rainbow and clear skies after a storm

How do I remind myself that this is just a dream

This dream is as cold as dry ice

burning me inside

questioning myself always

So this is how it seems to feel

To get stuck in a storm
