Regret

Tom.H

Sweet innocence filled us

Jokes, laughter, lust?

Forbidden

An act so wrong

Yet twice as nice

Past mistakes i would rip away

to free myself from that awful day

Yet tempation grew

and sprouted more sin

an innocent flower

with regret stabbed in

a rose too sweet

to see the thorns within

How did it happen

what have we done

the chains of life drowned in that someone

If someone would send us back

to that god awful day

No one knows what id give to have it taken away

I think many people have a day that they wish could be undone. I certainly do. I really like your poem.

Thank you, I think everyone does. But it does make you think if you’d still have he good parts of life without that day
