Painful Sleep (In your arms again)

mrsbeaver

Although the days are getting easier,

The nights are oh, so long,

Without you to hold my hand and ask 'what the bloody hell is wrong?'.

Our children are my saving grace,

Their smiling faces keep,

Me from sliding under into a melancholy deep.

But once our babes are in their beds,

I'm alone with my own thoughts,

I can not help but ponder all the misery I bought.

My mind is such a scary place,

At night I want to soar,

Away from here to find a place, a new mind to explore.

I know my peace is coming,

I can feel it in your tone,

What you will say will surely hurt and i'll end up alone.

I need to move on, this is true,

At least all the time I ache,

It reminds me of the love we had and I feel my whole heart break.

Every night I dream of you,

Its a comfort and a pain,

With fragmented sleep and vivid dreams, i'm in your arms again.
