Before you use or drink your booze

Consider the consequences

Getting high can damage your mind

And beer can lead to jail sentences

 

When you drive you may not be safe

And passengers may be in danger

Others alone die when they’re stoned

And drunks sometimes kill strangers

 

Learn to stay sober and stay off road shoulders

And arrive at your destination

A doobie smoked can get your license revoked

And alcohol can ruin recreation

 

If you drink your wine and all is fine

Enjoy your glass or two

Know you have a problem if life’s revolving

Around your 100 proof

 

If you smoke dope and try to work

Know your boss is watching

For any loss in productivity

And just how much you’re costing

 

Getting clean and sober when you’re older

Is a great thing you can do

And a chance to be completely drug free

With less harmful things to abuse
