Never Forget

Lionheart

Waking up everyday never forgetting who I am, a man that brags about having the most is something I can’t stand, look on social media everyone flex because it’s the new obsession, but my mindset is different, out with the old in with the new that’s progression, like is it better to work hard for the moment or for the long haul, you can’t compare it, you don’t ever wanna be that one reaching for the plate, when you didn’t prepare it, that means you don’t want to be the one always reaching for a handout, that one friend that blows their money on foolishness so they always standout, this poem flow might seem hard you’d think I’m doing a battle rap, but as soon as you get blessed with money you start singing never would have made it, Marvin Sapp, now this isn’t targeting any specific individual, I’m just trying to make people open there eyes and see, so here’s a visual, being humble ain’t just a song by Kendrick Lamar, it’s actually an attribute that can actually take you far, I personally have no problem keeping my success to myself, I’m comfortable being me, because just like a man waiving a gun in front of a camera, some things just ain’t for tv, everyone ain’t gotta know what’s in your pockets, because whether you realize it or not, everybody’s watching, that’s something I learned being my father’s son, I’m glad he taught me that growing up, because till this day I never switched up
