To Give is Better

 

When I give it makes me feel better

And I feel good these days

I try to be the sunshine in bad weather

And shine though clouds are gray

 

I try to know those in need

And the problems that they have

I give to the poor and downtrodden

and those feeling bad

 

Those I help express their thanks

and get excited a bit

I always do what I’m able to

And they are thankful for it

 

‘Tis better to give than receive

As the saying goes

I’ve experienced both in my days

And know that this is so
