Lion

olivergreenwood19

Behind iron bars I have sat and waited

Pacing back and forth for the coward who caged me

I roar at the sheep who lingers in the shadows

I claw at the bars to make him hear my rage

I have spent too long trapped in his game

Too long sparing his life for the sake of my sanity

His excuses hold me no longer

His tears shall gain no more sympathy

He has kept me hostage for too long without consequence

And now it is my turn

My turn to show him what it means to put a lion in a cage.
