I can't Seem To Be That Man.

kevin browne

I write to tell that I love you
Along this long lonely highway
But have people following me
Towards the gates of far away.
I walk to tell that I can see you
Along the distant paths we take
Amongst the pilgrims of tomorrow
Where hatred plays no fake.
I write to tell that I know you
Passing me by with a Godly smile
And way past our prayers we cry
Walking alone a lonely mile
I write to tell that I need you
This lonesome man here is broken
With a heart that got lost in Heaven
When all my love was taken.
I write to tell that I'm leaving
On my track to wherever I can
For my pen has lost its rhythm
And I can't seem to be that man.
