Daydreaming To Be A Vigilante

Saint Sinner

Looking at the different size buildings and skyscrapers, I can't help but wonder how it would feel to sit at the top of each one.

To feel like Batman or Daredevil looking over the city or whatever small part of the city I'm facing and protecting, to feel the night like it's never been felt, to feel the wind from the heavens you can't feel when you're grounded and to feel like you're at the top of the world.

Out of those feelings for these buildings and skyscrapers, I can't help but think about what it would feel like falling from each one, especially the tallest one, to feel the wind rushing and me flying through it like a monkey being blasted into space, sacrificing myself for the greater good.

And then I hear my name being called out of the blue, shaking me from my deepest thoughts and I realize that I'm looking at a painting and that it's my turn to go see the doctor.

  • Comment from author about the poem: I was at the doctor's office yesterday and I couldn't stop staring at this painting in the waiting room, getting lost in it like how one would get lost in a store.
