nothing lasts forever

brianna jean zeiger

When you entered into my life,

I thought you were a gift from above.

I had dreams about being your wife,

is it crazy to say I was in love?

But now our love is far away,

and all the flowers you gave have began to wither.

I blamed myself on why I couldn’t make you stay,

be the snake you are and continue to slither.
