Pesky Raccoon

w c

Pesky Raccoon

In my trash I saw her one day

Going through my cans

Why me I had to ask

And I hollered while she ran

She sped there fast away

And I picked the pieces up

Her image in my mind remained

And I resented her very much

She had a weakness for leftover sweets

As she sorted through the food

I sprinkled some pepper on a treat

But she ate the pepper too

One day I saw her in a tree

With cubs I did not know

I was moved and put some dog food out

With each a shiny bowl

That day something changed in me

And I didn’t despise her there

She had a family she needed to feed

And I was moved to care

Hi orchidee. Just the opposite here. There are many raccoons and few foxes.
