Broken

EmmaLaurel

Within your heart I felt your love

Although it may be more for him

You pulled us through the fire of pain

To hurt him and then us again

You wept until the tears dried up

Then withered did your love become

Like rotting apple one side poison

It festered spread became your reason

No longer were we born of beauty

Cradled by the cloak of love

Instead the anger hatred duty

Broken children we became

Three standing lonely on the hillside

Together no longer can we be

You broke our family and our future

I cry for you and him and me
