Ambition

madisontoure

There was a little girl who once was filled with such ambition

She worked hard and promised to reach her goal

She worked day and night, she swept the floor

She focused on her dreams and nothing more

But then one day it turned to something more

Her Ambition had turned into Addiction

Her driven success took her out of the kitchen

She worked day to day

Until her family and her peers started to walk away

She couldn't resist the sound of money

When she grew up in a neighborhood and as a race with a high poverty rate

How could she give it up, how could she walk away?

And so she sold her soul! That's modern society for you.
