Sea & Sky

a__pott

I can’t beleive this.

Poor me. Poor you.

I hate it all.

I hate you. I hate me.

I hate the sea and the sky

and I especially hate

the light I’ve seen you in all these years.

A light that manipulates you to be

the person you happened to have been for a brief time

...when I met you.

I like your metaphor of light as maybe replacement for 'good', Alex. Your poem makes me think that sometimes we see another person reflected in the light we shine on them, mistaking it for their own light. Once that light is not there anymore we see that person for what he/she really is.

And once that light is gone, the real person that shows through, tends to disappoint!! Thank you for the comment Fred!
