Silence

DHA

Silence is my friend
But also my enemy

Silence can comfort
When the world is crashing down
When the noise of others gets too loud
It’s a safe haven
A place of solitude
Where thoughts are sacred, uninterrupted
And everything is still

Silence can hurt
When you need a friend
When you need anyone at all to say anything
It taunts you
A place you can’t escape
Where thoughts close in on you, imprison you
And it’s almost deafening

Either way, I wouldn’t trade it for anything
