The Plea in My Eyes to Save Me

Dent Moses

The plea in my eyes to save me
You were the only one,
Now I can’t pretend to know
She is too far away.

Don’t come back,
I can only look down
And act like you made me
Deliver this frown

I just don’t see it happening this way
Do you think we’ll ever reconnect?

There wouldn’t be the time to stay
In the modern age,
There’s no room for you to bloom
Locked inside a cage.
