A Sad Clown

Lost & Found

Knock knock! Who's there?

An isolated figure

A creature providing endless pleasure,

Hide the mirror,

When the audience applause,

And the waves of laughter drift to the shaws,

A Happy Clowns taste of bliss,

Giggles touch clowns soul with a kiss,

Hide the mask,

Once taken down life seems a gruelling task,

Feed clown with consistent attention and wealth,

Sooner or later clown will reject itself,

Knock knock! Is clown there?

Nothing in clowns mirror not even a glare,

Please don't make the fun stop,

Retreating to clowns inner child to escape the lot,

The truth is the world doesn't laugh, you're either dead or you get shot,

To escape those day to day pressures,

Clown focuses purely on jolly leisures,

Hide and never seek with responsibility,

Clowns time on stage is pure simplicity,

So as the curtains draw to a close,

Clown hopes heaven has a sense of humour,

God only knows.
