A book and a side

Carmine

In a book we follow characters

In a book we get their perspectives

In a book we understand their decisions

but how come

We never understand the villain

Why do we judge them as the bad

why do we only look at our Main characters side

we say to ourselves that we would never hang out with the bad

but we never heard their side of the story

so can we really call them the bad guys

because we do not know the reason

and

we may never know the reason

to be honest if there was a civil war

and

you only heard from one side

then you would only understand that side

but what if you listen to both sides

which one would you pick

which one would be

the good

and

the bad

is there really a good or bad in this

don't we just pick sides for the one

most appealing to us?

great piece of writing 🙂 i think you do need to understands both sides, their reasoning for behaving how they are , however sometimes there is not a valid reason and people/ villians in books are just the way they are , cruel and unfriendly and out to get and out to hurt.. and why would we want to associate with someone who is cruel or nasty or unkind , i know i wouldn't
