Eyes

DHA

It’s so strange
That you can look into someone’s eyes
And see their entire world

You can see their thoughts
You can see their emotions
You can see when they lie
You can see when they love
You can see when they laugh

And it’s funny
People who want privacy the most
End up giving themselves away
Because their eyes cry for help
In all kinds of different colors

And whether it’s blue
Or green
Or brown
Or hazel
Or gray
Or gold
Or a mix of all of them
It’s always visible

So why do I face the mirror
And look into my own eyes
And see nothing?
