I Can Dance What I See.

kevin browne

I can dance what I see but I'm sure it's not me
I can sing her a song when everything's wrong
I can hold out my heart whenever she wants
Though depending on what my love flaunts.
She could love me and leave me to do or to die
She could find out if she had ever wondered why?
From open to closed when she stuck up her nose
From closed to open when it was me who she chose
I'll love her forever when were more clever
I'll love her forever when we're together
She will beside me with love as it stands
She will beside me with her heart in my hands
Our love is precious our love is supreme
Our love is unique our love is our dream
I can paint her a picture I can paint her pure love
I can buy her some time if whatever's enough
She can call me a coward she can call me a punk
She can call me a lover she can call me a hunk
There were the times when we didn't look back
There were the times we gave each other the sack
Deep down inside though deep down that we glow
Deep down inside though it's our love that we know
To treasure and trance in her moonlight and dance
To cuddle and kiss her in her moonlight and chance
For the stars and the sun our hearts they had won
When nearly the chance of Heaven had gone.

Kevin, your well written poem covers a whole lifetime of love's up and downs. And I especially like the ending! Beautiful!
