Cherry Blossom Trees and Hurricanes

Clark

I know now that I have to move on

How do I move on

When my feelings for you are a mixture of

Cherry blossom trees and hurricanes

I woke up at 5:00 AM on a Monday to a text from you

For the first time in a long time

Only to see that she is all you had ever wanted

And more

It was then I realized that the way I feel about you is

irrelevant and useless

It was then I realized that you are not the you I love

So now I must force myself to move on

But how will I trust anyone the way

I trust you

How can I feel the cherry blossom trees and the hurricanes

With someone who isn't you my love

I know that I can't...

I can't trust you

But I do

I trust you even when I haven't seen you in almost 2 months and when the sun shines and when the moon comes out and when I go to bed and when I wake up and when I go to work at 7:00 AM and 1 year ago and 1 year from now and when you love her and when I'm not good enough and when you lie and when you cheat and when you cry and when you laugh and when you get high and when you get drunk and when you sleep and when you wake up and forever

So

I know now that I have to move on

But

I know I can't
