True Love

True Love

To love another is the best

And I am doing fine

My mate sits on our nest

And I’m there all the time

My love has its loyalty

And betray I will not do

To love her I was made

And she’s devoted to me too

This is no puppy love

Our love runs much more deep

At the nest I’m at my best

With some little chicks I feed

Our love always remains

Whenever we’re apart

To be fanned once again

When again the romance starts

Platonic love has its place

And may be the best of all

But I believe I’ll always need

To give my mating call
