“Balloon”

AlinaVanderson

“Balloon”

There is a balloon inside my chest

It fills with pebbles when I rest

It fills with water when I cry

And colorful birds fill its sky

When i’m angry tornados fight

When it's dark down there its light

When I dance that world it quakes

So i keep still for the peoples sakes

Don’t make me smile you’ll start a war

Affections not worth dying for

When they need something they send for me

Shout to my brain to tell me knees

To stand straight up but slowly now

And fix their problems someway somehow

So don’t shake or stir me

Don't you dare deter me

I’ve got a balloon inside my chest.
