Dictated
By time
By money
By bureaucracy
By unfortunate circumstances
After saying today "you'll get a few hours"
The car breaks down I'm lost in showers
My emotions build up, now begins to cascade
Trying not to ask why? or scream "this is just what I need!!
Fighting to not fall to my knees
As the sound of their smiles start to leave
I'm under no illusion
This world I create
Unknowingly and knowingly
Playing along with everyone
Through the rough and smooth
Through the highs and the lows
Dictated by life always making the most
