The Hole I've Fallen Into

Thoff1

Fall into the hole,
only to look down deep,
Licked the shoe's sole
and fell fast asleep.

Man, his likability legitimately fell
Rule and law for Heaven
Me? I'm banished to hell.

In a year who knows what will be
of you,
me,
or the olive tree.

So Falling down I turn away
waiting for another day
to turn up and crawl out
It's always better to fight
than is to pout.

  • Comment from author about the poem: I wrote this thinking about my feelings for a girl and how life can be so cruel. I just kept thinking that life drags you into places you don't want to be but you have to take it and try to make it your own. I really think life can be simplified into just that.
