hazygold

The rush of love i sent you took then blew away for the clouds
The only part that isn’t crushed is the part left that I’m running from

I watched you and watched you, I stood at the window, you in your icy winter, desperate to hide from the warmth the stars kept safely for you.

I heard you and I listened. You touched me but I felt everything you callously snuffed away faster than a gunshot.

Well you stole it from yourself, and at dusk my coat still found itself on your shoulders. I wish they would, but the embers don’t freeze quick enough to slow me down.
