Give and Take

russceperich

Not long ago,
A man did say,

That one could
Live another way,

A year or two,
Yes it may take,

But this short time,
So good for our sake,

To breathe again,
And smile once more,

To know in our heart,
What for us is in store,

To live our dreams,
When nightmares flee,

The thought of alone,
No more stifling me,

A shepard called,
Against the starry night,

To tell the world,
Of a precious sight,

As each of us,
He so humbly began,

No one knowing Him,
Until He became a man,

He did not hate,
Nor did he say,

That any of us,
Could not obey,

Some may choose,
His name to deny,

Walking their own path,
Though they know not why,

While others will embrace,
Knowing better is yet to come,

True love from our Savior,
To all, not just to some,

My life has years,
That are passing bye,

My prayer to you,
Is to ask yourself why,

Why do you breathe,
And more so live,

Is it to take,
Or is it to give.
