Hush

Baylee

Bright blue sky

with bright blue eyes to match

laying against the white of the snow-covered earth

azul winter jacket

Oversized, but warm

mittens wrap around your hands, which in turn

wrap around the snow

push it back and forth

create pictures in the frost

Snowfall;

the only sound that can be heard

besides only the gentle breathing of your lungs

How wonderful is it

that millions of snowflakes

could create a hush such as this.

    Love the imagery here. It is magical the mute that befalls the earth during a snowfall - especially at nighttime.

    Great write!

    Beautiful description of a winter day, Nicole! Makes me want to run out there and make snow-angels!
