Pride Flag

Liam Lawless

Red for the blood of those we have lost,

Orange for the sunrise - Free of cost.

Yellow for the flames that keep us warm,

Green for nature, from which we are born.

After battle, and pain. After scars and denial;

After all those that made me feel so vile;

I am finally open, happy and proud.

I don't care who knows it. I WILL BE SO LOUD.

Blue for the water that washes and cleanses,

Indigo for those still closeted and defensive.

Violet for the fact i have run out of rhymes,

years of fear, and pain, but now is the time.

for the pride many have died to achieve,

I'm bisexual, so now I will leave

you with my final statement...

Love will prevail. Say goodbye to hatred.
