Painted Bunting Quilt
He looked like a quilt
With color everywhere
Each a part distinct
And a patchwork beyond compare
There was a patch of red
And another ivory green
There was a hue of blue
And yellow too that beamed
At our songbird show
He won a fitting prize
It was a feeder and some seed
And he perches there all the time
His colors are always bright
As he spends his day
He visits as he likes
And we’re more colorful when he stays
