Simple

DHA

I wish I was a kid again
Not worrying about what people thought
Or what I have to do in the future
Or anything really.
I miss the quiet times
Where I could read all day
Play all day
Sing all day
With no consequences.
And it’s this simplicity that confuses me
Because it’s so abundant when we’re young
And disappears in the blink of an eye
But it’s the same simplicity
That reappears as I walk through life
And begin to see everything again
Through a child’s eyes.
So I embrace the inner kid
Who makes up all of my light
And people may call me immature
But I enjoy being happy
And spreading my happiness to other people
Because it’s simple
And simple is beautiful
