Foreign pain

samuelC

All people are haunted by demons,
They come in different shapes and different sizes,
My demon is a very specific shape and size,
A foreigner.
With a certain voice and certain face,                             It haunts me,                                                          Every day.

It reminds me of only the positive memories,
It ignores the pain, the heartbreak, the suffering that it did to me.                                                                    It leaves in the dark the absolute destruction that it did to me,                                                                         It will fade, in time.

But the darkness comes from within,
The fight also comes from within,
This conflict of emotion and memory are entwined as one but should follow very differing paths,
Change is needed.
A light to remove the dark and propel these thoughts into the foreign lands in which they came.

A foreigner can not become engrained forever
It’s time for removal
And these thoughts will be repressed. At any means necessary.

What does the last part mean by, "Its time for removal and these thoughts will be repressed." ?

It's a good poem, however, I don't really have the ability to pour out my emotions easily, but you do and that's great.
