I found a dog today.
What good came of the outcome?
I cannot say.
I took a brief moment.
Tried to knock on some doors.
.....
Empty knocks echo throughout the porch.
Oh boy, oh my.
Responsibility seems to be mine.
Carrying this dog, no whimper, no whine.
I threw open the door.
A towel on the seat hanging to the floor.
Let's get you out of this chilly cold.
Paws covered in dry mud.
Possibly cattle business.
All over me and my driving practice.
Sticking her muzzle out the window.
Neither of us with a care in the world.
Off to get you warmth.
There's a shelter up ahead.
Just your average homestead.
I just realized you're prone to shed...
I'd never been to a place like this before.
"Set her in this one".
So I set her on the floor.
There was only a brief moment.
Just a pet goodbye.
A farewell that caught my eye.
Back on the road.
With some feelings to goad.
But what if I just took her away from her home?

Very good! I did that once - I "rescued" a dog that actually belonged to someone but it all worked out thank goodness! I especially like: Paws covered in dry mud.
Possibly cattle business.
All over me and my driving practice. Right away I could see the contrast of a nice clean office/home and a very muddy dog........
I set a towel down for her but when she jumped in the car he went right for the drivers seat lol. While driving she kept jumping on me, where the towel wasn't haha
That is funny.........
