Oh elixir sleep

Again you come to heal and keep

Giving rest and renewal

As if all has been refueled

 

With images you entertain

And your dreams are rarely quite the same

With the bright and happy ones

Relished with our breakfast some

 

Sleep is what we need

To be the best we can be

With those not sleeping feeling bad

Having not slept a tad

 

How time does seem to fly

Like mere minutes as we sleep each night

With the day to recall

All the dreams that we saw

 

We surrender to you our friend

And you carry us once again

On our wings and in the clouds

And other things that dreams allow
