I thought that
You would be there
To save me
From the deep thoughts
That come at night

You used to tell me
That everything
Would be alright

I wished that I could believe you
That the monsters
In my mind
Would go away

But when they did
They just came back
And said they were here to stay

Every night
I thought
"Maybe pain can
Take away more pain"

But
I told myself
That maybe
I was going insane

And I was
But no one knew
Because you cant really see
In deep dark blue
