THE MIRROR

Esala

He dashed unto the mirror

A Reflection stared back

He retreated in terror

And fell upon his shoe rack

What have I become?? He asked in disgust

Surely this isn’t true he reiterated

But no it started since August

He had neglected it when it started

Have I become the very monster I fought against??

No I have two heads more!!

Scary what a little power does

To even the best of us

A little glance at the mirror

May reflect a transformation of horror

For many have taken a scarier form

Of the very beast they had tried to tame.
