Anchorless

RickyMcG

I'm caught in a net.

All tangled up in your words.

I thrash around,

Trying to shake off your mixed messages

Which trip me up like shoelaces tied together.

When I open my mouth to scream for help,

The butterflies you used to give me escape

And I rise like a bubble

Anchorless

Towards the surface.
